Tengo Muchos Feelings—don’t we all?
 
Well, no... but I do. As someone who feels it all, the “Tengo Muchos Feelings” shirt helps explain it without having to.
 
Having lots of feelings is hard, because you always end up tired; you’re processing them, taking them in, thinking of ways to deal with them, and probably overthinking every aspect of it.
 
And having a lot of these feelings as a Latina can feel like a little much sometimes, on top of everything else society throws at us about who we’re supposed to be, how we’re supposed to act, etc. And if you’re not a Latina—maybe you’re an HSP. If you don’t know what that is, it’s time to go Google it, amigo. 😉
 
Either way, I feel like all of these, and I really do always support feeling your feelings when they’re there; a big part of mental health is processing them. It sucks, honestly, because for me it involves crying—and that’s exhausting too.
 
For some of us it’s more, for others maybe less, and for those who take medication, maybe these feelings have been dimmed a little... but we’re still tired of it. Whichever version is you, know that it’s okay.
 
One thing that helps me? Therapy. Talking it out with a therapist, or sometimes just saying it out loud to someone who gets it, makes all those feelings feel a little more manageable. You don’t have to carry them all by yourself. It can suck to start, but just do it. You won’t hate it so much once you begin, kinda like everything else. 🖤
 
Feel your feelings when you can, and check in on them every so often.
